About the Role
As an Electrician at ABC Home & Commercial Services, you will perform high-quality electrical work, repairs, and replacements for residential and commercial customers while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service across the Austin Metro area.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical problems and recommend repair or replacement options
- Price work according to company policy and complete authorized repairs
- Coordinate with inspectors, suppliers, and coworkers to ensure project compliance
- Address customer concerns and suggest appropriate solutions
- Apply federal, state, and local codes to all work
- Read diagrams and blueprints, run conduit and wire, and install devices
- Troubleshoot circuits, devices, and equipment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, and customers
- Train and mentor assigned coworkers
- Participate in periodic on-call rotations for 24/7/365 coverage
- Maintain a professional attitude with customers and team members
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of residential electrical service technician experience
- Current Texas TDLR Residential Wireman, Journeyman Electrician, or Master Electrician license
- Valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to application
- Five consecutive years of verifiable good driving history
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Completed specialized courses in residential and commercial electrical practices
- Strong working knowledge of codes and safety measures
- High proficiency with email, instant messaging, and electronic devices
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures for long periods
- Ability to prioritize workload under pressure
