About the Role
Provide high-quality comprehensive medical care, encompassing the organic, mental, and social well-being of each patient, within the context of the whole family.
Responsibilities
- Provide ambulatory patient care and necessary emergency care.
- Perform complete health assessments and refer patients to appropriate in-house resources.
- Collaborate with the practice manager to oversee nurses, para-professionals, residents, and students.
- Order medications in the patient’s electronic medical record, specifying dose and ensuring counter-signature by the administering nurse.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing assigned tasks, participating in group meetings, and assisting others.
Requirements
- Possession of a license to practice as a medical doctor in New York State.
- Board eligibility or Board certification.
- Obtain credit of CME as required.
- Meet privileging and credentialing requirements for Physicians.
- Infection Control certificate.
- BLS through the American Heart Association.
Skills
- Ability to administer impartial treatment to a wide cross-segment of the socio-economic spectrum.
- Ability to work under conditions of stress.
- Skill in interpersonal relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Proficiency in eClinicalWorks or other electronic health record systems.
