About the Role

King & Spalding is seeking a Project Assistant for the Finance & Restructuring Practice Group in their New York office. This role involves supporting legal teams with various administrative and research tasks to ensure the seamless delivery of legal services.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise due diligence and quality control procedures on offering memorandum in connection with securities offerings.
  • Liaise with investment banking teams, auditors and management in connection with gathering supporting materials.
  • Create pitches and presentation materials for prospective matters, client engagement and business development efforts.
  • Conceptualize, write, produce, and distribute client services communications, including newsletters, fact sheets, and client news.
  • Compile data from multiple systems to generate ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Monitor and track industries, financial market dynamics, client news, and market trends.
  • Prepare and maintain checklists and critical dates lists.
  • Prepare UCC Financing Statements and other filings.
  • Follow established client and team guidelines for matter management.
  • Keep accurate time records.
  • Work efficiently in a heavily technology-based environment.
  • Able to work overtime, including weekends and holidays with little to no advance notice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Impeccable research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates creativity, problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop credibility with internal and external clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to take initiative with all aspects of daily and special assignments.
  • Proficiency with various software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional and others.
