About the Role

As a Medical Assistant at Phoenix House, you will provide operational support to facilitate the delivery of clinical services to patients and perform accurate and complete audits of medication. Be part of something bigger — help us build a healthier, addiction-free future together.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the (self) administration of medication to patients.
  • Transcribes medication orders and monitors medication records for compliance.
  • Perform accurate and complete audits of medication transported, received, administered, stored, or disposed, as trained, and assigned.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and conduct in accordance with Phoenix House medication policies and procedures.
  • Enter data into computer EMR software.
  • Answering telephones
  • Update and file patient medical records
  • Scheduled appointments
  • Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services
  • Correspond with external agencies, pertaining to client(s) as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
