About the Role

As a Senior FP&A Analyst at MILES, you will be the strategic financial co-pilot for a rapidly growing business unit, shaping the financial roadmap through budgeting, forecasting, and in-depth analysis of unit economics and cost allocation. This high-visibility role requires advanced financial modeling skills and a technical edge to translate complex data into actionable business steps, influencing pricing, scaling, and critical decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the Subscription P&L end to end, including revenue recognition, provisioning, direct cost allocation, and monthly contribution margin.
  • Own the Subscription budget and rolling forecast process, acting as the key stakeholder point of contact, building the model, challenging inputs, and delivering variance analysis with forward-looking commentary.
  • Define, build, and own the Business Unit KPI framework, tracking active base, churn, and contribution margin, and translating numbers into clear, actionable insights.
  • Support pricing and promo decisions by modeling the P&L impact of subscription price changes, promo campaigns, and contract-length shifts.
  • Maintain and improve the group cost allocation model by clarifying allocation keys, documenting methodology, and applying it consistently.
  • Design and own the unit-economics framework, including calculation methodology and process.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years in FP&A, controlling, or financial analytics, ideally in a data-heavy environment.
  • Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of a wider analytics toolkit (Python or R, Power Query, Office Scripts) to independently query invoice tables, aging views, and transaction logs.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including driver-based models, scenario analysis, and multi-entity structures.
  • Solid grounding in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Strong commercial and accounting fluency, understanding P&L and balance sheet impacts.
  • Curious, strategic, and proactive working style with a hands-on mentality.
  • Business-fluent in English.
  • Business-level German.
