About the Role

Responsibilities
- Develop, train, and optimize deep learning models for autonomous driving, focusing on end-to-end architectures including object detection, tracking, online mapping, and end-to-end planning.
- Manage the full machine learning workflow from data curation and analysis to model experimentation, hyperparameter tuning, and performance verification.
- Collaborate with simulation, infrastructure, and planning/control teams to deploy and integrate ML components into the autonomous truck production pipeline.
- Track the latest research in computer vision and generative AI, and test new methods to solve real-world challenges.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D., including upcoming graduates) in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong theoretical foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision, with a solid understanding of modern architectures (e.g., Transformers, CNNs, Graphs).
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and clean coding practices.
- High self-motivation, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced startup environment, and a strong team-player mindset.
- Academic thesis or focused research experience in 3D Computer Vision / Bird’s-Eye-View (BEV) Perception, Online Mapping, Vectorization, or Visual SLAM, or Prediction and Behavioral Modeling.
- Proven track record of research publications in top-tier ML, computer vision, or robotics conferences/journals as a primary contributor.
- Hands-on experience with model deployment, quantization, distillation, or inference acceleration tools (e.g., TensorRT, ONNX, CUDA, C++).
- Prior internship experience in autonomous driving or advanced robotics labs is highly desirable.
