About the Role

The Credit Analyst processes applications from new and existing customers, reviews applications for fraud, conducts background checks, and gathers necessary information to process applications. Upon approval, the analyst updates customer profiles, enters credit limits, and informs applicants of the results. The role also involves managing department queues, responding to requests, and monitoring customer accounts annually.

Responsibilities

• Processing business credit applications for credit terms accounts.
• Investigating and assessing credit worthiness of applicants.
• Setting up open accounts with a credit limit and entering pertinent verified information on the account profile.
• Assisting and communicating with Sales, Marketing, A/R, financial institutions and businesses on ongoing daily issues and requests.
• Performing periodical review through scoring or requesting updated credit information on existing active accounts with high activity/volume.
• Manages department phone queue line, mailbox, and requests from Sales, A/R etc.
• Monitors customer’s accounts on an annual basis and produces reports as needed.

Requirements

• Processes applications from new customers as well as existing ones who like to establish credit terms or adjust their current credit line.
• Reviews the application for indications of fraud and perform necessary research to conduct background check.
• Interacts with customers in a timely manner to gather necessary information required to process the application.
• Updates the customer profile, enter credit limits in to the system and informs the applicant the result of their application.
