About the Role
Transport UK London Bus is seeking an innovative and self-starting Advanced Engineer (HGV/PSV Technician level 3) to join their Engineering team. This role involves working a 4 nights on, 4 nights off shift pattern, offering significant time off and opportunities for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining buses.
- Investigating and diagnosing mechanical and electronic faults.
- Recording faults and repair work using a tablet.
- Following safety instructions and reporting issues.
Requirements
- NVQ or City and Guilds level 3 qualification in maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles (or equivalent).
- PCV licence is desired but not essential.
- Good standard of Maths and English.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and service manuals.
- Proficiency in using fleet management technical computer systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work flexibly.
- Willingness to undertake training.
- Ability to work independently using initiative.
- Safety consciousness in all tasks.
