About the Role
Transport UK London Bus is seeking innovative, self-starting individuals with a passion for the bus industry to join their Engineering teams as Advanced Engineers (HGV/PSV Technicians Level 3). This role offers a unique shift pattern with significant time off and opportunities to boost highly competitive wages.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting, repairing and maintaining buses.
- Investigating and diagnosing mechanical and electronic faults.
- Recording faults and repair work using a tablet.
- Following safety instructions and reporting issues.
Requirements
- NVQ or City and Guilds level 3 qualification for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles (or an equivalent international qualification).
- PCV licence is desired but not essential.
- Good standard of Maths and English.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and service manuals.
- Knowledge of fleet management technical computer systems.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work flexibly.
- Willingness to undertake training.
- Ability to work well using own initiative.
