About the Role
We are looking for innovative, self-starting individuals with a passion for working in the busy and dynamic bus industry to join our Engineering teams across our London Depots. This role offers a unique shift pattern with significant time off, with opportunities to boost earnings through voluntary overtime.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting, repairing and maintaining buses.
- Investigating and diagnosing mechanical and electronic faults.
- Recording faults and repair work using a tablet.
- Following safety instructions and reporting any issues.
Requirements
- Must have at least an NVQ or City and Guilds level 3 qualification for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles (or an equivalent international qualification).
- Training will be provided for IRTEC in service maintenance technician, inspection technician and advanced technician if not currently held.
- PCV licence is desired but not essential; training to drive buses will be provided.
- Possess a good standard of Maths and English.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and service manuals.
- Proficiency in using fleet management technical computer systems.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work flexibly, including potential relocation to different depots or shift changes.
- Willingness to undertake any required training.
- Ability to work effectively using own initiative.
