About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead a portfolio of platform products that underpin the Healthcare Genomics Service. You will own critical data stores, APIs, and shared capabilities, balancing operational needs with long-term platform evolution to support genomic medicine at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for shared platform products.
- Collaborate with engineers and technical leads to shape scalable, API-first services.
- Balance platform evolution, operational stability, technical debt, and new delivery.
- Define long-term platform product strategy and drive migration from legacy components.
- Use data to monitor platform health and impact.
- Identify common capabilities across teams to reduce duplication and improve developer experience.
- Operate within a complex, regulated environment with strict governance and assurance requirements.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to make transparent prioritization and trade-off decisions.
- Mentor product managers and contribute to organizational product excellence.
Requirements
- Experience owning shared platform, infrastructure, or data products used by multiple teams.
- Strong systems thinking and ability to understand complex technical landscapes.
- Experience defining product strategy and translating it into measurable outcomes and roadmaps.
- Confidence working closely with engineering teams on APIs and technical evolution.
- Experience balancing reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in technically complex environments.
- Pragmatic, outcome-focused approach to decision-making under ambiguity.
- Ability to pass a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
