About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead a portfolio of platform products that underpin the Healthcare Genomics Service. You will own critical data stores, APIs, and shared capabilities, balancing operational needs with long-term platform evolution to support genomic medicine at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for shared platform products.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical leads to shape scalable, API-first services.
  • Balance platform evolution, operational stability, technical debt, and new delivery.
  • Define long-term platform product strategy and drive migration from legacy components.
  • Use data to monitor platform health and impact.
  • Identify common capabilities across teams to reduce duplication and improve developer experience.
  • Operate within a complex, regulated environment with strict governance and assurance requirements.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to make transparent prioritization and trade-off decisions.
  • Mentor product managers and contribute to organizational product excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience owning shared platform, infrastructure, or data products used by multiple teams.
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to understand complex technical landscapes.
  • Experience defining product strategy and translating it into measurable outcomes and roadmaps.
  • Confidence working closely with engineering teams on APIs and technical evolution.
  • Experience balancing reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in technically complex environments.
  • Pragmatic, outcome-focused approach to decision-making under ambiguity.
  • Ability to pass a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
