About the Role

Join the Montessori Campus am Tegeler Forst as an engaged teacher to guide children's development, not shape them. You will facilitate learning in mixed-age groups, fostering a deep understanding of the world through Montessori principles.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and lead a mixed-age elementary school learning group alongside another educational professional.
  • Act as a generalist, teaching across the entire curriculum and integrating content from language, mathematics, science, and social studies.
  • Implement the 'Cosmic Education' philosophy to help children understand their place in the world and develop responsibility.
  • Design a prepared learning environment that supports independent, self-directed learning at the child's own pace.
  • Serve as an attentive observer, motivator, and trusted contact person, guiding and supporting individual learning processes.

Requirements

  • Teaching degree for elementary school with 2nd state examination (1st state examination, Bachelor, or Master's degrees are also welcome).
  • National or international Montessori diploma (e.g., DMG, ÖMA, or AMI) or willingness to pursue further training.
  • Passion for teaching as a calling, embodying Montessori principles of respect, equal relationships, trust in child competence, and joy in development.
  • Experience in educational work, preferably in a Montessori context.
  • Self-responsibility, initiative, and an appreciative attitude.
  • Enjoyment of teamwork and cooperative collaboration.
