About the Role

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to manage, maintain, and distribute project documentation, ensuring accuracy, currency, and compliance with procedures in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Upload, distribute, and file drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Ensure all project documents are accurately recorded, version controlled, and up to date.
  • Monitor document revisions and ensure the latest versions are issued to the project team.
  • Maintain document registers, trackers, and filing systems.
  • Liaise with the site team, consultants, subcontractors, and clients regarding project documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of reports, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
  • Archive completed project documentation in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure document control processes are followed and maintained throughout the project.
  • Support the project team with general administrative duties as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Document Controller, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience using document management systems (e.g. Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite, 4Projects or similar) is preferred.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of construction documentation and project processes is desirable.
