About the Role
This role is responsible for developing and delivering seasonal colour and print palettes, using insights from fashion, art, design, and competitor analysis. You will deliver trend-led strategies and a continuous flow of inspiration that directly influences the collection and supports the brand’s creative direction.
Responsibilities
- Provide inspirational and strategic leadership to the design team and wider COS functions, ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision and long-term goals.
- Manage seasonal direction, research and workflow through to final delivery, ensuring alignment with the design calendar.
- Lead the creation of seasonal colour and print palettes, using research from fashion, art, design, and competitor analysis to deliver relevant and directional content.
- Work closely with design, buying, and production teams to integrate trend insights into the collection, ensuring consistency and relevance across departments.
- Manage and develop the creative team (colour and trend) guiding them through recruitment, performance, and growth while maintaining high creative standards.
- Condense trend research into clear, actionable insights and present findings through seasonal workshops and internal presentations, ensuring creative strategies are understood and implemented across the business.
Requirements

- Significant experience in a senior creative research or trend-building role within the fashion industry, either in-house or an agency environment.
- Strong ability to translate brand vision into forward-looking creative strategies, combining trend forecasting, cultural insight and commercial awareness.
- Proven expertise in both long- and short-term trend forecasting, with the ability to shape elevated colour and print direction.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally, ensuring creative direction is consistently realised across design, buying and production.
- Strong leadership skills, with ability to build a high-performing, engaged team while fostering a culture of creativity, accountability and continuous learning.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to present clear, compelling ideas that influence and align stakeholders.
- Portfolio or examples of work most suited to the COS design aesthetic must be included.
