Responsibilities

  • Build and operate high-performance network platforms that support low-latency trading systems and critical business applications
  • Design and deploy scalable campus, data center, and wide-area network architectures to meet growth and availability targets
  • Implement and manage network security controls, firewall policies, and segmentation to protect sensitive systems and data
  • Automate network provisioning, configuration, and validation using scripting and infrastructure-as-code techniques
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive post-incident improvements
  • Partner with application, security, and operations teams to optimize network performance
  • Lead network upgrade, capacity planning, and vendor coordination projects
  • Maintain and improve network documentation, runbooks, and change control artifacts
  • Mentor and coach engineers early in their careers, share knowledge across the team, and contribute to an environment of continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise or financial services environments
  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and operating data center and campus networks, with deep expertise in routing and switching and strong command of core protocols including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and EVPN/VXLAN
  • Hands-on experience designing VXLAN-based Layer 2/Layer 3 data center fabrics and underlay/overlay architectures
  • Hands-on experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco and Arista
  • Experience implementing and supporting next-generation firewall solutions including Palo Alto Networks
  • Experience with network automation and scripting using Python, Ansible, or similar tools
  • Clear understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles
  • Proficiency with network monitoring, packet capture, and observability tools
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident response skills
  • Ability to remain effective in high-pressure situations and drive timely resolution
  • Proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
  • Willingness to participate in a scheduled on-call rotation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards
