About the Role

The Strategic Account Manager will manage and maintain customer relationships with key C-level executives and decision-makers in Japan's major manufacturing, distribution, and service industries. This role is responsible for driving revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction through Red Hat's products and services, developing strategies to achieve double-digit growth, and leading account teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer relationships with designated global accounts that are important and strategically significant to Red Hat.
  • Position Red Hat as a critical business partner at all levels of the organization, including C-level executives, while maintaining and developing new relationships within designated accounts.
  • Establish global account strategies and plans with clear objectives, actions, owners, and sales targets, considering quarterly goals and the overall strategic development of accounts.
  • Provide account team leadership, sharing best practices for success and guiding the team towards achieving objectives.
  • Collaborate with presales, support, and consulting services teams to grow Red Hat's entire portfolio of offerings within assigned accounts.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospect to close for the entire product portfolio, with a focus on accurate forecasting and pipeline development.
  • Support collaboration among relevant teams and create a vision for assigned accounts.
  • Introduce new and innovative methods and work with teams to achieve customer needs and sales goals.
  • Foster a growth mindset and engage and lead others to achieve the impossible.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in enterprise IT sales with a proven track record of managing large enterprise accounts.
  • Experience as a sole responsible person for large accounts, coordinating with teams such as overlay sales, presales, and consulting services.
  • Solution selling mentality in companies offering multiple products and services.
  • Self-motivation to succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent Japanese and English communication skills (written and verbal) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing, distribution, and service industries, including market and competitor knowledge.
  • Knowledge and passion for Linux and open-source technologies.
