About the Role
We are seeking a professional and reliable SIA Gate Person to maintain site security, control access, and ensure compliance with site procedures for visitors, contractors, and deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of health and safety, and a proactive approach to safety and security.
Responsibilities
- Control access to the construction site and prevent unauthorized entry.
- Check identification and verify credentials of all visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers.
- Sign visitors, contractors, and deliveries in and out of the site.
- Monitor the site entrance and conduct regular security checks.
- Record and report any security incidents, breaches, or suspicious activity.
- Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and escalate concerns to the site management team.
- Ensure all site access procedures are followed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and approachable manner when dealing with visitors, contractors, and the public.
- Assist the site management team in maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guard).
- Valid CSCS Card (where required).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Previous experience in a security or gate person role (preferred).
- Good understanding of construction site health and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
