About the Role

As Purchase and Product Planner for D2C channels, you will build commercial buy plans for seasonal and continuity ranges across retail and digital platforms. You will work within the Buying, Merchandising & Allocation department to develop options and range plans, delivering key analysis and insights to maximize sales potential and reduce terminal stock risk.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver robust seasonal trading strategy driven by KPIs to SMT set budgets and targets.
  • Shape seasonal buy budgets and drive category building blocks.
  • Review seasonal product and store performance, proposing in-season re-buys.
  • Drive seasonal changes to allocation plans and stock level management, proposing store consolidations.
  • Update and report on sizing and buy grids, analyzing trends and sales data.
  • Achieve all buy deadlines to seasonal and continuity critical paths by working closely with the production team.
  • Collaborate with channel traders on optimal launch and allocation timelines.
  • Maintain OTB continuity sheets for D2C channels, ensuring accurate PO raising with wholesale/franchise fulfillments considered.
  • Verify that all Seasonal & Continuity POs are raised correctly and match Line Details.
  • Support regional product feedback and build data-driven analysis for future buy decisions.
  • Identify and build stock packages for new stores.
  • Identify opportunities through product, pricing, and competitor awareness.
  • Plan Rates Of Sales for seasonal buys based on historical/like product.
  • Size all seasonal and continuity buys.
  • Maintain and adjust buy volume grids and size ratios based on trending performance.
  • Produce and maintain Monday trade reports.
  • Produce weekly product performance reports for the wider team.
  • Discuss weekly trade actions for presentation to SMT in trade meetings.
  • Assist with markdown trade analysis, reviewing performance and suggesting actions and discounts.
  • Provide regular updates to SMT on key product actions and trade drivers.
  • Trade active stock to optimize availability and minimize terminal stocks.
  • Manage stock, including in-season store transfers and end-of-season consolidations.
  • Work on ad-hoc requests and special projects required by SMT.
  • Maintain high levels of communication with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Production, Logistics, and Wholesale/Franchise.
  • Collaborate with Web & Digital teams on product placement and trading patterns.
  • Conduct store visits as required.
  • Attend regular updates and 1-to-1s with manager.
  • Deputize and cover tasks during annual leave.
