About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides medical care within behavioral health programs, focusing on health monitoring, screenings, and education to support individuals recovering from behavioral, emotional, and substance-related disorders.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate agency core values in daily activities
- Utilize technology and support systems effectively
- Follow agency policies, procedures, and protocols
- Perform professional nursing duties including medical observation, data collection, and history gathering
- Administer injections and review lab reports and medical records
- Consult with RNs, psychiatrists, NPs, and pharmacies as needed
- Respond to site medical crises including first aid, CPR, and AED
- Provide coverage across all addiction and mental health clinics
- Complete timely and accurate documentation
- Provide evidence-based health education
- Maintain syringe counts, medications, and medical waste disposal
- Collaborate with nursing teams and pharmacies to resolve medication issues
- Assist individuals with medical linkages and referrals
- Travel to agency sites for coverage as needed
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Educational qualifications meeting regulatory standards
- Experience meeting regulatory requirements
- Experience providing medical services to individuals with behavioral health needs
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
