About the Role

Direct and manage the team responsible for clinical delivery of complex, global full-service, multi-regional studies and/or programs. This role has strategic decision-making responsibility for the project/program, focusing on leveraging therapeutic expertise and IQVIA's solutions to drive operational excellence and strategic leadership with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the project delivery strategy for RFPs and participate in bid defense preparations.
  • Lead bid defense presentations in partnership with business development for large, complex, multi-service, multi-region studies or programs.
  • Oversee the development of integrated study management plans with the core project team.
  • Direct the execution of clinical studies as per the contract, optimizing speed, quality, and cost.
  • Recognize systemic issues at program or portfolio level and identify solutions with project teams.
  • Set objectives for the core project team and assess performance.
  • Collaborate with other functional groups to support milestone achievement and manage study issues.
  • Monitor progress against contract and present project information proactively to stakeholders.
  • Manage and deliver large and/or complex studies or programs of studies.
  • Proactively manage strategic risk and contingencies, leading problem-solving efforts.
  • Achieve project quality by identifying and addressing quality risks and issues.
  • Serve as the primary project/program/portfolio contact with the customer and own key customer relationships.
  • Drive consistency of operational delivery across customer projects/programs/portfolio.
  • Build and lead cross-functional project/program/portfolio teams.
  • Ensure the financial success of projects/programs/portfolio.
  • Forecast and identify opportunities to accelerate activities to bring revenue forward.
  • Identify changes in scope and manage the change control process.
  • Identify and communicate strategic lessons learned and best practices.
  • Participate in, champion, and adopt function and/or corporate initiatives.
  • Provide input to line managers on project team members’ performance and support staff development.
  • Mentor less experienced project team members.

  • Typically requires 7 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.
