About the Role
The Relationship Analyst will be an integral member of the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Team, primarily responsible for supporting growth and strengthening relationships with institutional clients. This role involves working closely with Business Developers and Relationship Managers to support business development activities and maintain service quality for existing clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end support on new business opportunities, including RFPs and RFIs, pitch materials coordination, meeting preparations and follow ups.
- Partner with Business Developers and Relationship Managers on new client onboarding and implementations.
- Respond to client inquiries on a wide range of topics, including portfolio and product/strategy specific information, investment guidelines and market trends, often with a short turnaround time.
- Capture and maintain client data in relevant internal CRM systems and Salesforce.
- Build and develop internal network relationships and manage internal stakeholders for effective collaboration.
- Continuously build on the depth and breadth of understanding of clients, Wellington products and strategies, and market.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client priorities and market developments and effectively communicate client expectations with internal teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience within the investment management industry.
- Direct buy-side experience supporting Institutional relationships is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrate interest in applying AI and digital tools to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall client and firm outcomes.
- Strong academic credentials, including a Bachelor's degree with preference given to candidates who have undertaken post-graduate study or are progressing towards a CFA.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Office, specifically in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Passion for learning about global capital markets.
- In-depth knowledge of the broad asset classes and/or hedge funds and private investments is strongly preferred.
- Interest in the business of investment management, a desire to work in a team-based and collaborative environment, and an analytical/ problem-solving orientation are required.
- Organized and pay strong attention to details.
- Demonstrable track record of achievement, capacity for differentiated thinking, strong work ethic and willingness to work with others.
- Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, where priorities may change frequently, and deadlines often need to be met under significant time pressure.
