About the Role
As a Procurement Finance Business Partner, you will drive financial excellence by analyzing supplier cost performance to identify key trends and savings opportunities across International Airlines Group (IAG). You will collaborate with procurement and finance teams to track savings, manage risks, and reconcile P&L impacts. This role is pivotal in financial planning, including forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, while establishing reporting frameworks for the IAG Management Committee. You will also evaluate and model business cases for new activities, challenging stakeholders and providing recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Supplier Cost performance across IAG at the most granular level, identifying trends and key movements.
- Collaborate with Procurement teams in IAG Transform to understand the status of savings, initiatives, and delivery risks.
- Liaise with OpCo finance teams to reconcile the P&L impact of initiatives, align supplier cost reporting to IAG MC, and understand/analyze future risks to the cost base.
- Play a key role in the financial planning process and the delivery of Supplier Cost savings across IAG and within Procurement, including forecasting, budgeting, and the strategic five-year plan.
- Build strong working relationships with teams, understand their short-term and long-term objectives, and act as a business partner, assessing financial impacts and challenging where appropriate.
- Evaluate business cases for extended scope/new activities, provide financial support with financial modeling, and challenge/provide recommendations.
Requirements
- Delivery of Supplier Cost savings and targets from the procurement team.
- Robust reporting framework to provide granularity and insight to IAG MC on a monthly basis.
- Performance and delivery of Procurement Supplier Cost initiatives vs. targets.
- Take an active role in the wider Finance Team; promote best practice and support continuous improvement.
- Management Committee Directors & their Leadership Teams.
- Other IAG Transform Finance Business Partners.
- OpCo Finance Teams.
- 5+ years Financial evaluation, influencing, decision making, business acumen.
- Hands-on experience with spend analysis, cost transparency or procurement-related analytics.
- The ability to build excellent working relationships across multiple teams and locations.
- Strong communication skills.
- Confidence in challenging senior stakeholders when appropriate.
- Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, as circumstances require.
- Business Partnering experience (even if gained outside of a business partnering role).
- Previous exposure to business cases would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of Finance Operations (P2P, RTR, OTC etc.) would be an advantage.
