About the Role

Harris Beach Murtha is seeking an Immigration Paralegal to assist in preparing nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications for corporate and individual clients. This role offers a purpose-driven opportunity to change lives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare business-based nonimmigrant (H-1B, L-1, TN, E, and O-1) and immigrant (employment and family-based) petitions, including forms and supporting documentation.
  • Manage high-volume corporate client accounts and provide comprehensive immigration services.
  • Compile and maintain records of immigration filings, documentation, and client activity.
  • Review immigration regulations and apply them to various case scenarios.
  • Write detailed and complex supporting argumentation.
  • Enter case information into the case management system.
  • Complete a minimum of 1400 billable hours annually.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Business Immigration paralegal experience required.
  • Experience in business and family-based immigration (preferred, not required).
  • Superior writing/editing skills for complex support letters.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Expertise with computer-assisted legal resources.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-volume priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a professional, cooperative, positive, and flexible attitude.
  • Exhibit the ability to effectively multi-task, meet deadlines, and provide solutions in a fast-paced office setting.
  • Demonstrate good organizational skills for prioritizing workload.

  • Enjoy working with diverse personalities within various levels of the firm.
