About the Role
As a Mobile Nursery Housekeeper, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a clean and safe nursery environment across multiple sites. Your work supports children’s wellbeing while helping educators focus on delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment across different nursery locations
- Travel between sites during the week
- Complete daily, weekly and deep cleaning tasks
- Respond to urgent or additional cleaning needs as required
- Help cover other team members during holidays or busy periods
- Work collaboratively with the wider team
- Contribute towards a warm and respectful atmosphere for children and teams
- Always show strong attention to detail while respecting confidentiality and safeguarding
- Identify areas that need attention and take initiative to keep the nursery environment looking its best
- Follow cleaning schedules and hygiene procedures to support health and safety standards
- Help create calm, organised spaces that support children’s daily experiences
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely
- Following company procedures and wearing protective equipment where needed
- Reporting any issues, hazards, or maintenance concerns
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience
- Able to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Flexible and comfortable working across different locations
- Good communication skills
- Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities roles
- Worked in hotels, offices, schools, or healthcare settings
- Prefer evening work that fits around other commitments
- Enjoy working independently and taking responsibility for your work
- Like variety and don’t want to be based in just one location
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Complete an enhanced DBS check
- Provide proof of identity
