About the Role
The role involves performing CFD simulations and assessments based on client standards, communicating solutions through calculations, technical reports, and presentations. The engineer will interface directly with clients, participate in marketing and business development, represent Genesis in industry groups, and work within both single-discipline and multi-discipline teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate CFD studies assigned to a multidiscipline team.
- Be responsible for the CFD content and quality of all work on the project.
- Assist in the development of proposal work for CFD content of projects.
- Perform CFD simulations and assist in the performance of engineering studies.
- Run proprietary software (e.g., CFX) or in-house developed software.
- Perform engineering calculations.
- Produce technical notes for reporting study results.
- Present findings to clients.
- Lead and coordinate discipline personnel assigned to a project.
- Ensure project scope of work, design basis, philosophies, standards, and procedures including QA are known, understood, and implemented by discipline personnel.
- Direct and monitor the execution of work regarding the content and quality of all documentation within the discipline’s scope of work.
- Participate in all directive activities including preparation and checking of documents, specifications, procedures, standards, data sheets, etc.
- Prepare proposals.
- Travel as required to support listed activities.
