About the Role

Join an ambitious, highly successful, and growing banking and finance legal team in Belfast. This client-facing role offers the opportunity to be involved in exciting, high-profile banking and finance transactions and foster strong business relationships with key clients. You will also work on outsourcing projects, acting as an extension of the client's in-house legal team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a range of financing deals, including company searches, drafting corporate authorisations and ancillary documents, drafting security and other transaction documents, managing conditions precedent, and assisting with document execution at closing.
• Assist in outsourcing negotiation projects, reviewing and negotiating finance documents such as banking bilateral documents, trade finance documents, or NDAs on behalf of the client.
• Work directly with other HSF Kramer practice groups across the global network to deliver high-quality legal service delivery to clients.
• Supervise Trainees or Legal Analysts on individual matters, complex legal issues, or as directed by Senior Solicitors, Managers, or Senior Managers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant areas of law.
• Ensure compliance with financial disciplines, including daily time recording.
• Provide other assistance to the business on client matters and related tasks as required.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales or Northern Ireland; Republic of Ireland or other common law jurisdictions will be considered.
• Willingness to complete the process to requalify as a solicitor in England and Wales, if required.
• 1-3 years PQE, with at least 6 months' experience in Banking & Finance Law.
• Experience working in a legal environment, ideally a private practice law firm or in-house.
• Knowledge and experience of Banking & Finance transactional work.
• Must be UK-based.
• Must not live in Northern Ireland and must live at least 100 miles away from a HSF Kramer London office.
