About the Role

As a communicator at ANOHA, the Jewish Museum's children's museum, you will engage families and children aged kindergarten to elementary school age with the story of Noah's Ark through interactive exhibits. You will provide prompts, tell stories, and encourage exploration and interaction with the museum's installations, fostering learning about diversity, coexistence, and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Communicating the Noah's Ark story to children and accompanying adults at interactive stations.
• Conveying Jewish content and cross-cultural perspectives.
• Introducing children to the exhibition and its core themes.
• Supporting and guiding children in crafts, games, singing, and storytelling.
• Fulfilling service and organizational tasks, including admission control and group coordination.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards in public areas.
• Assisting with visitor surveys for quality assurance.

Requirements

• Proven pedagogical experience and enjoyment in working with children.
• Very good service-oriented and structured work approach.
• Teamwork skills, high commitment, and flexibility for shift-based work, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and age-appropriate address of children.
• Sensitivity to group dynamics and children's social behavior.
• Creativity in implementing play activities for children.
• Very good German and English language skills.
• Knowledge of another language is desirable.
• Interest in Jewish culture is desirable.
• Knowledge of anti-discrimination education is desirable.
• Openness to new communication methods and software is desirable.
• Applicants must not have been previously employed by the Jewish Museum Berlin Foundation.
