About the Role
Support individuals needing care and their families, promoting social participation in old age. We are seeking a dedicated individual for the Contact Point for Care Engagement starting October 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Contact Point for Care Engagement in Spandau's Old Town, collaborating with the Self-Help Contact Point team.
- Advise and inform individuals needing care and their families on all aspects of self-determined and independent living in old age.
- Organize, initiate, and support volunteer engagement for supplementary care of the elderly.
- Take responsibility for specific thematic areas in consultation with colleagues, implementing formats such as information events and leisure activities for the elderly.
- Support and guide the development of self-help groups for those needing care or their families as needed.
- Initiate and support initiatives for daily and neighborhood assistance for the elderly.
- Undertake tasks in public relations, reporting, and committee work, and provide administrative support to the divisional management.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Social Work/Social Pedagogy or a comparable qualification.
- Work with a people-oriented, empathetic, and respectfully professional approach, possessing intercultural competencies.
- Be a team player with a high degree of initiative and creativity.
