About the Role

The Junior Project Manager will manage assigned engineering and manufacturing projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, cost, quality, and customer expectations. This role is ideal for an early-career project management professional ready to transition into direct project ownership, working closely with cross-functional teams and serving as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

Manage assigned projects through the full project lifecycle, from order handover to final delivery and closeout.
Develop and maintain project plans, including scope definition, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
Track project progress and performance against milestones, cost targets, and quality standards.
Identify risks and issues proactively, develop mitigation plans, and escalate to project team.
Ensure changes to scope, cost, or schedule are documented, reviewed, and approved.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned projects.
Lead customer communications, including status updates, schedules, and issue resolution.
Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and customers to support successful outcomes.
Ensure required resources are identified, scheduled, and aligned with project priorities.
Collaborate with production teams on daily project execution, priorities, and constraints.
Ensure project deliverables meet technical, quality, and customer requirements.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for project issues or non-conformances.
Contribute to process improvements, lessons learned, and standardization within the Project Engineering Group.

Requirements

Working knowledge of project management principles, tools, and methodologies.
Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
Experience working with ERP systems in a project, manufacturing, or order-management environment.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, schedules, and financial data.
Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Solid analytical and problem-solving capability, including root cause analysis.
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
