About the Role
Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Technicians are vital to daily operations, supporting practitioners, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maximizing team efficiency. They handle technical and administrative tasks, allowing practitioners to focus on medical priorities and deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Restrain pets, prepare/administer medications, and assist in exams, procedures, and surgeries.
- Monitor anesthesia, provide supportive therapy, and teach clients how to administer treatments.
- Prepare patients for discharge and communicate status updates to the care team and clients.
- Record patient histories, treatments, and procedures accurately for invoicing and records.
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain detailed progress notes.
- Schedule procedures, relay accurate information to clients, and seek help when needed.
- Perform lab procedures and collect/prep samples for analysis.
- Operate and maintain radiography units and diagnostic software.
- Maintain and report issues with medical equipment; restock and manage supplies.
- Clean and sterilize instruments, maintain hospital cleanliness, and assist with patient hygiene.
Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) or Experienced Veterinary Technicians with at least 3 years of experience.
- Dedicated to providing outstanding client service and excellent patient care.
