Responsibilities
- Holistic execution of exciting development projects in the e-mobility and industrial environment.
- Development of control units for drive components as well as for charging and converter technologies for hybrid and electric vehicles according to ISO26262 or industrial applications, according to applicable standards.
- Support of hardware development activities from concept creation through development and testing to integration into the vehicle.
- Development of test concepts, test methods, and test strategies, as well as design and implementation of generic test cases and their execution and evaluation.
- Planning, coordination, and assurance of designs for hardware systems or components.
- Working in a dynamic team and coordinating complex development tasks with a high degree of coordination and multiple interfaces.
- Technical leadership, support in the technical development of the team, possibly technical coaching.
- Taking on project management tasks for smaller (sub-)projects and the opportunity to develop into a management position.
Requirements
- Completed studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, ideally with a focus on power electronics, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience in the definition, design, development, and technical project management of power electronics for vehicle development.
- Experience in system optimization according to technological constraints, considering EMC requirements and series production.
- Familiarity with special challenges of topologies for high-current and high-voltage control units, as well as knowledge in the development of such control units.
- Knowledge in PCB design: simulation (PLECS, LT Spice, PSpice), WCCA, schematic, PCB layout, bill of materials, and associated design work for multi-layers with high-speed digital, high-precision analog, and power signals.
- Knowledge of common tools such as LTSpice or Altium Designer, as well as routine MS Office skills and fluent German and good English language skills.
