About the Role
Summer analysts will work as quantitative strategists on the BXCI Quant & Portfolio Analytics team. This team builds analytics leveraged for multiple purposes including: calculating risk and values for financial positions, originating loans, managing funds, highlighting portfolio trends and risks, evaluating and pricing deals, supporting client analytical requests, and streamlining activities across the division. The team takes a systematic, quantitative approach, aiming to produce robust, transparent, and commercially effective tools and analytics. Summer analysts are expected to assume integral roles and produce real-world commercial impact, learning from experienced professionals and contributing meaningfully to team objectives.
Responsibilities
- Calculating risk and values for financial positions (including securitized products)
- Originating public and private loans
- Managing funds
- Highlighting portfolio trends and emergent risks
- Evaluating and pricing deals
- Supporting client analytical requests
- Streamlining activities across the division
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or master's student
- Anticipated graduation date: Summer 2027 or 2028
- CV must include expected graduation month/year and grade
- CV must be in PDF format
Skills
- Strong modeling and mathematical skills
- Strong programming skills in any general-purpose programming language (i.e., C++, C#, Java, Python)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a lean team environment
- Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good professional judgment, and positive attitude
