Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for an architecture team of around 10 software and security architects.
  • Harmonize and standardize architecture processes, principles, and decision-making across multiple AIS DE product lines.
  • Own and drive the architecture roadmap for cloud, security, AI-native architectures, and modern software patterns.
  • Guide the modernization of our system landscape end-to-end.
  • Lead large-scale refactoring and modernization of legacy systems using AI.
  • Establish AI tooling as first-class in the architecture practice and in the products we design.
  • Coach architects and experts, set best practices and reference implementations.
  • Build a strong architecture community based on technical excellence and proactive ownership.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a software or solution architect with proven leadership responsibility for architecture teams or senior architects in enterprise or SaaS environments.
  • Completed university degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field with excellent academic performance.
  • Deep technical expertise in modern software architecture (microservices, cloud-native, security-by-design) in large-scale, distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale refactoring and modernization of legacy codebases.
  • Proven track record of driving AI adoption in architecture and engineering.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Claude Code or comparable agentic tools is a strong plus.
  • Excellent English and very good German.
  • Clear, decisive communication style.
  • Strong technical credibility.
  • A hands-on mindset.
  • Pronounced problem-solving strength and proactivity.
  • Clear alignment with our healthcare purpose and entrepreneurial spirit.
