Responsibilities

Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for an architecture team of around 10 software and security architects.
Harmonize and standardize architecture processes, principles, and decision-making across multiple AIS DE product lines.
Own and drive the architecture roadmap for cloud, security, AI-native architectures, and modern software patterns.
Guide the modernization of our system landscape end-to-end.
Lead large-scale refactoring and modernization of legacy systems using AI.
Establish AI tooling as first-class in the architecture practice and in the products we design.
Coach architects and experts, set best practices and reference implementations.
Build a strong architecture community based on technical excellence and proactive ownership.

Requirements

Several years of experience as a software or solution architect with proven leadership responsibility for architecture teams or senior architects in enterprise or SaaS environments.
Completed university degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field with excellent academic performance.
Deep technical expertise in modern software architecture (microservices, cloud-native, security-by-design) in large-scale, distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with large-scale refactoring and modernization of legacy codebases.
Proven track record of driving AI adoption in architecture and engineering.
Hands-on familiarity with Claude Code or comparable agentic tools is a strong plus.
Excellent English and very good German.
Clear, decisive communication style.
Strong technical credibility.
A hands-on mindset.
Pronounced problem-solving strength and proactivity.
