About the Role

This role sits within the Advisory team at Validus, focusing on designing and implementing hedging strategies, providing client support, and developing relationships with key clients.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to design and implement hedging strategies across various markets and asset classes (FX, rates, commodities, equities).
  • Provide support to the Engagement Manager.
  • Assist in analytical testing of solutions.
  • Assist associates in analyzing client information and preparing periodic performance reports.
  • Develop relationships with high-value clients receiving the Validus retainer service, including strategic consultancy, innovative project work, proactive client service, and presentation of the technology platform.
  • Identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with existing clients and assist in the business development process.
  • Stay updated with academic, technical, and industry developments.
  • Adhere to Financial Conduct Authority Rules and Regulations.
  • Adhere to all internal policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years' professional experience, preferably within management consulting, capital markets, investment banking, or Private Equity / Hedge Funds.
  • Relevant undergraduate degree.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with an extremely high attention to detail and client-centric approach.
  • Understanding of risk management in financial markets.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exposure to Bloomberg.
  • Time management/ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Salary/Compensations

  • $90,000 - $110,000 per year
