About the Role

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Consultant to play a leading role in delivering innovative design solutions and providing technical and team leadership. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage project delivery, including design, technical reviews, stakeholder engagement, and fee/programme monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Manage engineers to deliver designs
  • Conduct technical reviews
  • Engage with stakeholders
  • Monitor project fees and programmes
  • Participate in QA processes
  • Establish deliverables
  • Mentor less experienced engineers
  • Engage in work-winning activities
  • Support senior management staff
  • Produce schematic diagrams
  • Prepare specifications and project reports
  • Carry out site inspections and surveys
  • Develop detailed designs
  • Lead project meetings

Requirements

  • Experience in an IT consultancy and/or engineering role within the IT design field
  • Ability to engage and interact with stakeholders at different levels
  • Ability to manage small to medium-scale projects and less senior engineers
  • Experience working with a wider team across RIBA Stages including architects, MEP and installation teams
  • Organised and confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills

Skills

  • IT design and delivery principles
  • WiredScore or other technical benchmarking for buildings knowledge is a positive
  • Ability to take ownership for tasks and deliverables
  • Capacity to think around problems and help guide the team and client towards solutions

Experience Level

  • Significant experience in an IT consultancy and/or engineering role within the IT design field

Education Level

  • Degree level in Electronics Engineering or Computer Sciences (MEng, BEng or BSc)
  • Working towards, or already be, a Chartered Engineer
  • Member of IET, BCS, BICSI RCDD or similar
