About the Role
The Home2 Suites by Hilton in Queensbury, NY is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Housekeeping Attendant to clean guest rooms and respond to guest requests, contributing to outstanding guest service. This role offers bonus incentives and is located in a busy, year-round environment with 92 rooms.
Responsibilities
- Maintains brand and company standard for cleanliness in hotel guest areas
- Cleans guest rooms, including removal and stocking of linen, dusting, and sanitizing all areas
- Makes beds, vacuums carpets, and cleans tile areas in guest rooms
- Reports maintenance deficiencies to maintain compliance with brand standards
- Uses chemicals, cleaners, and cleaning equipment properly
- Ensures cleanliness of public areas of the hotel
- Keeps the work area clean and tidy at all times
- Attends all required meetings
- Follows proper payroll and uniform procedures
- Properly handles and reports associate and guest accidents
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
- Assists with responsibilities and duties in other departments and as assigned by management
Requirements
- Able to work alone without direct supervision
- Demonstrates a high degree of drive and determination
- Constantly recommends service and product improvement to better the operation
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel
- Weekdays, weekends, and holidays required
- Continuous standing and moving during shift
- Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying required up to 30 lbs.
- Bending/kneeling required
