About the Role
Regal Cinema at The Shoppes at Ithaca Mall is seeking passionate, part-time cast members to deliver exceptional guest service, cleanliness, and a memorable movie-going experience in a fun and energetic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide guest service by selling tickets, concessions, or working as an usher.
- Handle cash, credit cards, gift cards, and redeemed discounts accurately.
- Upsell and suggestively sell premium viewing experiences and concessions.
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
- Respond to guest inquiries professionally.
- Operate, prepare, and clean concession equipment.
- Comply with food safety laws and alcohol service regulations where applicable.
- Tear tickets, collect stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums.
- Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
- Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats.
- Enforce the MPAA rating system.
- Conduct in-auditorium inspections for quality and to prevent theft.
- Report any theatre issues to management.
- Perform in-auditorium concession sales.
- Clean auditoriums, restrooms, lobby, and other areas.
- Monitor cleanliness and operation of vending equipment.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
- Handle emergency situations.
- Perform general cleaning duties.
- Comply with company dress code.
Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Weekday opening and/or closing availability is preferred.
- Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion required.
- Must complete any legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate for alcohol sales/service.
- Must complete Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University if applicable.
- Must be able to perform calculations with speed and accuracy.
- Must be able to identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes.
- Must be able to evaluate information, recognize alternatives, and reach conclusions based on evidence.
- Must be able to take action beyond what is necessarily called for.
- Must be able to perform under pressure and/or opposition.
- Must possess excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management.
- Must be able to establish goals, budget time, and set priorities.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May occasionally be required to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
