About the Role

Stantec's Water team in Australia is seeking experienced Project Managers to join their Sydney, Wollongong, or Newcastle office. This role offers the opportunity to manage and contribute to complex water infrastructure projects, working closely with a senior team and developing strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior team members on project delivery.
  • Support senior team members on complex water infrastructure projects.
  • Manage own projects to build project management skills and experience.
  • Contribute to decision making and challenge project delivery methods.
  • Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients by delivering valuable business solutions and understanding their business.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering.
  • Technical understanding of water infrastructure including water and sewerage networks, water and wastewater treatment plants, water resources projects, and dams and pumped hydro infrastructure.
  • Project Management qualifications/certifications preferred (e.g., Project Management Professional) or working towards attainment of a recognised qualification/certification, or demonstrated PM excellence in a consulting environment.
  • Strong financial competency, sound business acumen, and understanding of project financial control.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task.
  • Proven ability to build and manage client relationships to meet their objectives.
  • Strong communication and people skills to engage effectively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Ideally, experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in a consulting environment.
