About the Role
We're seeking a multi-skilled Theatre Technician to provide frontline technical support across staging, lighting, sound/AV, recording and broadcast. You'll support productions, presenters and venue hirers by delivering events, responding to technical issues, maintaining production equipment and providing outstanding customer service. Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll uphold high technical and WH&S standards while contributing to safe, seamless event delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline technical support across staging, lighting, sound/AV, recording and broadcast.
- Support productions, presenters and venue hirers by delivering events.
- Respond to technical issues.
- Maintain production equipment.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Uphold high technical and WH&S standards.
- Contribute to safe, seamless event delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience across multiple production disciplines, including staging, lighting, sound, AV, communications, and broadcast.
- Proven ability to perform theatre and precinct operations, including incident response, customer service, and interdisciplinary technician duties.
- Strong technical knowledge of communications, signal transport systems, intercoms, audio/video routing, and IP networks.
- Ability to interpret and prepare event documentation, implement technical requirements, and lead small teams to deliver successful events.
- Physically fit and agile, with the ability to work at heights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Existing Australian work rights.
- Satisfactory National Police Check.
- Satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment.
