About the Role
The Boutique Manager is responsible for developing and optimizing boutique performance and profitability by managing the team, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional client service. They act as a leader, managing the team in line with the Maison’s values and supporting talent development.
Responsibilities
- Define annual strategy and objectives with the Retail Manager.
- Monitor sales targets and KPIs, implementing action plans.
- Develop partnerships with concierges and intermediaries.
- Implement Retail guidelines and tools.
- Conduct market benchmarks to identify business opportunities.
- Provide monthly performance reports and propose corrective actions.
- Act as a Brand Ambassador, providing the highest level of customer service.
- Handle customer service issues professionally.
- Implement and manage client data capture and follow-up systems.
- Directly manage boutique staff and security guards.
- Conduct daily briefings and regular one-to-one meetings with sales staff.
- Evaluate sales staff performance, set objectives, and conduct assessments.
- Discuss staff development plans, including benefits, bonuses, and career growth.
- Delegate operational activities and establish clear team responsibilities.
- Motivate the team with commercial actions, incentives, and brand information.
- Process relevant documents for commission calculations.
- Coach staff on sales techniques and ensure appropriate training.
- Ensure grooming guidelines are respected.
- Recruit complementary profiles and build high-achieving teams.
- Manage sales planning and vacations according to business needs.
- Establish yearly training plans in coordination with the Retail Manager.
- Foster a business-oriented approach and positive mindset through team activities.
- Ensure compliance with sales, financial, and security procedures.
- Implement boutique checklists and adhere to brand guidelines (merchandising, catering).
- Analyze mystery shopping feedback and implement corrective actions.
- Organize CRM activities within the boutiques.
- Propose and manage boutique events to drive sales and enhance brand presence.
- Control the quality of the database per sales staff.
- Manage relationships and commissions with third parties.
- Control boutique expenses, including discounts, gifts, and travel.
- Ensure daily traffic is accurately counted.
- Maintain boutique facilities and take corrective actions.
- Control stock quality and ensure items are in perfect selling condition.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years of prior management experience in luxury activities (retail or service) is required.
- Computer knowledge in Microsoft.
- Proficient English.
- Excellent Presentation.
- Passion for service and client orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Entrepreneurship spirit.
- Ability to prospect outside the boutique.
- Strong track record of people development.
