About the Role

Develop server-side software for PlayStation platform game packaging and content distribution on Amazon Linux. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, design, implementation, developer testing, defect analysis, and developer support. This role allows you to develop software that will be used in a wide range of actual products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop server-side software for PlayStation platform game packaging and content distribution on Amazon Linux.
  • Perform requirements analysis, design, implementation, developer testing, and defect analysis.
  • Provide support to related developers.
  • Develop software for content pipelines related to game binaries, including game packaging, game disc creation, verification, encryption processing for content protection, differential distribution, and differential delivery.
  • Construct and operate parts of the server infrastructure necessary for these developments.
  • Collaborate with various departments including PlayStation system software developers, server teams, overseas teams, product planning, and developer support.
  • Contribute to the development of core competence software.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of practical experience in software development using C++.
  • Development platform experience with Linux (required) and either Windows or embedded systems.
  • Ability to write high-reliability code.
  • Accurate requirements analysis skills.
  • Ability to understand specifications such as RFCs in a short period.
  • Server construction and operation experience (preferably on-premises servers) (approx. 3 years or more).
  • Basic knowledge in the field of cryptography.
  • General security knowledge.
  • Knowledge and experience with Java or scripting languages (e.g., Python).
  • Linux or Windows system construction and operation experience.
  • TOEIC score of 700 or higher (target).
  • Communication in English (email, conference calls, business trips abroad) and the ability to read technical documents written in English.
  • Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 or equivalent.
