About the Role
This role is based in San Francisco, USA, and focuses on serving US-headquartered global TMT corporates within the Global Payments Solutions (GPS) Sales team. The purpose of HSBC is to open up a world of opportunity by leveraging unique expertise to create progress and growth for customers, employees, investors, communities, and the planet.
Responsibilities
- Work in close partnership with Banking Coverage and GPS sales teams to identify and develop business opportunities.
- Formulate client engagement strategies to deepen HSBC’s global cash management wallet share and grow revenues within the Technology, Media, and Telecoms sector.
- Adopt a needs-based advisory approach to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate cash management solutions.
- Lead, coordinate, and collaborate with HSBC teams across markets and functions to develop solutions, deliver proposals, and manage implementation handover.
- Work closely with GPS Implementation, Integration, and Client Service teams to ensure smooth client transitions and provide ongoing coverage.
- Provide feedback to GPS Product and Channels teams on the market landscape and client requirements to drive product enhancements.
- Formulate and support CIB and GPS industry sector strategies, including event participation, case studies, and client planning.
- Coach and lead team members on sales strategy, pipeline management, and sales conversion techniques.
- Collaborate with global and regional sales leads and GPS teams to develop a coordinated and prioritized deal pipeline.
Requirements
- Proven track record of dealing with complex global corporates.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience managing a client portfolio and/or responsibility for driving client cross-sell and satisfaction metrics.
- Proven sales record with strong data analytical skills.
- Understanding of global cash management techniques, market and competitive trends, and regulatory environment.
- Detailed knowledge of day-to-day workings of a Corporate Treasury environment, Foreign exchange, payments, Liquidity, and working capital.
- Strong knowledge of local/regional/global cash management clearing services, products, techniques, and strategies.
- Proven experience in managing large complex corporate relationships in client-facing management roles.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management, structures, credit, products, and processes in an individual contributor capacity.
- Experience working in an International Corporate Banking environment or with HSBC Group Corporate products and services.
- Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services.
- Ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions within deadlines.
- University graduate with at least 5 years of relevant experience in cash management, banking relationship management, and/or corporate product sales.
