Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Medical Advisor for projects assigned in Japan.
  • Provide medical advice to project members and clinical trial sites regarding protocol clarification, determination of eligibility criteria, and issues related to patient safety and eligibility.
  • Conduct medical reviews of protocols, investigator brochures, and case report forms.
  • Provide training to project teams on disease areas and indications.
  • Participate in investigator meetings.
  • Review adverse events.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacovigilance department to review serious adverse events.
  • Support the analysis of cumulative/similar cases, in collaboration with or on behalf of the Pharmacovigilance department.
  • Conduct medical reviews of adverse event coding.
  • Review aggregate reports and narratives.
  • Participate in kick-off meetings, team meetings, and client meetings.
  • Respond in a timely manner to urgent protocol-related issues outside of working hours according to established rules.

Requirements

  • Valid Japanese medical license.
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience (including internship).
  • Experience in Oncology (specifically Medical Oncology).
  • Comfortable with remote work.
  • Japanese: Business-level proficiency in all communication scenarios.
  • English: Business-level reading and writing skills, and conversational ability for listening and speaking, with a willingness to improve these skills after employment.
