About the Role
MGT Insurance is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to build and operate their vertical AI product surface. This role merges product and engineering, requiring the individual to operate fluidly across product strategy, data, design, and engineering. The TPM will set the vision, drive product development, and ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Define, build, and drive adoption of AI-native commercial insurance products.
- Translate traditional insurance workflows into agent systems.
- Make crisp tradeoffs between model capability, build vs. rent decisions, and long term unit economics.
- Deliver software with modern AI tooling, pull your own data, build prototypes, and ship code.
- Write code alongside the engineering team.
- Set a high product bar.
- Work side by side with internal and external customers to spot undervalued capabilities, kill weak features fast, and defend the experiences that matter.
Requirements
- Compelling storytelling skills.
- Experience building AI systems.
- Ability to speak fluently about successes and pitfalls of taking AI-enabled systems to market.
- Strong technical literacy.
- Actively contribute to team's codebase.
- Get your own data.
- Comfortable whiteboarding systems or talking unit economics.
- Growth stage experience.
- References from peer department managers (Engineering, GTM, etc.) that loved working with you.
