About the Role
Airtable is seeking a Sr. Manager, Procurement to lead and mature the company's strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and operations. This role involves enhancing software deal expertise, coaching the team, and partnering with key departments like Engineering, IT, Finance, and Legal. The position reports to the Head of Finance Operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex commercial negotiations for software, SaaS, infrastructure, cloud, AI, and professional services contracts.
- Manage and mature the vendor portfolio, including supplier rationalization and relationship building.
- Partner with FP&A to develop a procurement pipeline, identifying upcoming renewals and potential risks.
- Serve as the primary procurement partner to Engineering, IT, Finance, and Legal, ensuring cross-functional alignment and visibility.
- Report to the CFO on strategic deals, procurement pipeline, and key metrics.
- Coach and develop a team of procurement and sourcing specialists, focusing on software deal expertise.
- Drive improvements in procurement processes, controls, and systems, including Workday, Airtable, and AI tooling.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate contract analysis, negotiation preparation, and spend reporting.
Requirements
- 8+ years of procurement experience with expertise in software, SaaS, cloud, and infrastructure deals.
- Proven track record of leading high-stakes commercial negotiations and structuring complex multi-year agreements.
- Experience managing or developing procurement or sourcing professionals with a coaching approach.
- Ability to operate as a finance and business partner, understanding the impact of procurement decisions on budgets and planning.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex situations concisely to executive audiences.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and building stakeholder trust.
- Proficiency with modern procurement tools and active use of AI for increased leverage and output quality.
- Transparent, accountable, and collaborative approach to earning trust across departments.

- For work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, New York City, and Los Angeles, the base salary range is: $223,100—$289,400 USD
- For all other work locations (including remote), the base salary range is: $200,800—$260,600 USD
