About the Role
Associates provide relationship management and analytical support to Sales & Client Service teams in business development and retention activities for large institutional clients, consultants, and insurance clients. They will gain an understanding of clients’ evolving needs, identify where we can add value and collaborate to provide a better investment experience, especially as it relates to growing our ESG, fixed income, ETF, and/or SMA offerings. With proven success, Associates will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, prospects and intermediaries to develop and expand personal and professional relationships.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day activities of the team’s Regional Directors and Senior Associates.
- Prepare presentation materials for meetings with institutional clients and prospects, including introductory presentations, portfolio reviews, and follow-up materials.
- Compile performance data, portfolio commentary, and analytical material for meetings or client inquiries.
- Provide quality control for data in client reports and requests.
- Facilitate the completion of due diligence requests and client questionnaires.
- Maintain CRM database.
- Build marketing lists for institutional luncheons, investment forums, and conferences.
- Review and edit RFPs.
- Communicate daily with internal groups, including operations, portfolio management, research, legal, compliance, and marketing.
- Some travel may be expected.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required with a strong academic record.
- Background or strong interest in the Financial Services Industry.
- 2+ years of work experience in Financial Services or similar field preferred.
- Asset Management experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and a team-player.
- Able to work equally well in a team environment and independently.
- Self-starter capable of completing multiple projects within set deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills (Excel and Word) with the ability to learn programs as needed.
- Solid quantitative problem-solving skills.
- SIE, Series 7, and Series 63/66 licenses (or attainment within the first 8 weeks of hire as a condition of employment).
