About the Role

Bloomsbury Football Foundation aims to transform young people's lives through football, ensuring universal access to play and delivering programs that foster development on and off the pitch. Our coaching programs cover Communities, Club Football, Schools, and Special Projects, reaching over 6,500 young people weekly in underserved London communities. The Lead Coach is crucial in delivering high-quality, impactful sessions for ages 4-18, requiring coaching experience, a UEFA C qualification, a commitment to inclusion, and the ability to build strong relationships.

Responsibilities

Plan and lead regular coaching sessions across Communities and Special Projects programmes to support impact goals and youth development outcomes.
Create engaging, age-appropriate, and inclusive session plans that cater to diverse abilities and promote holistic development.
Deliver high-quality coaching that embodies the foundation's values of purpose, belonging, and progression.
Build and maintain positive relationships with young people, parents, partners, and venue staff.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other stakeholders.
Represent Bloomsbury Football Foundation professionally, embodying its mission.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of coaching quality and programme delivery.
Introduce creativity and innovative ideas to sessions and the coaching team.
Proactively engage with all aspects of Bloomsbury Football.
Uphold the foundation's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Maintain up-to-date safeguarding and first aid certifications.
Work flexibly and professionally across various settings and venues.

Requirements

UEFA C coaching qualification or equivalent.
Up-to-date Safeguarding and First Aid certificates.
Experience working with children and young people in a sporting or educational setting.
Ability to work across multiple venues and settings in Central London.
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends (up to 6 days per week).
The right to live and work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not provided).
