About the Role
The Procurement Lead is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating procurement events for goods, materials, utilities, and building services contracts for multiple clients across Australia, including government and private organizations.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and manage client relationships to understand their requirements.
- Conduct monthly procurement pipeline meetings.
- Develop and annually review the procurement plan and strategies.
- Seek opportunities for improved service delivery.
- Attend internal meetings as required.
- Analyze client spend and understand market trends.
- Conduct benchmarking activities.
- Prepare and execute procurement strategies.
- Prepare and compile RFx documentation.
- Assist in drafting client-specific statements of requirements and service scopes.
- Manage conflicts of interest and confidentiality documentation.
- Use eTendering platform.
- Collate submissions.
- Chair Tender Evaluation Committee Meetings.
- Conduct technical and commercial evaluations.
- Conduct negotiations in consultation with stakeholders.
- Prepare recommendations for client approval.
- Draft, issue, and execute agreements.
- Draft and issue award/non-award letters.
- Conduct debriefs.
- Assist in transition-in as required.
- Maintain comprehensive records.
- Generate ad hoc reports on spend, social engagement, and supplier capabilities.
- Provide monthly client-specific contractual reporting.
- Actively participate in C&W ESG targets, including conducting modern slavery audits.
- Promote engagement with Indigenous-owned businesses and social enterprises.
- Align with clients' ESG targets and requirements.
- Perform other duties as requested by your direct manager.
- Work extended hours during peak times or for major functions/events.
- Develop operational standards, playbooks, and operating manuals.
- Articulate and live the Cushman & Wakefield culture, modeling organizational values.

Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field specific to building services (hard, soft, utilities, and panel).
- Experience in a managerial or supervisory role is preferred.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of the Procurement Life Cycle.
- Proven experience in developing and managing client relationships in complex environments.
- Previous experience in government agencies would be advantageous.
- Experience in developing and implementing procurement plans and strategies, including annual reviews and adjustments.
- Ability to interpret financial data, understand financial consequences, evaluate financial performance, assess financial results, and proven cost reduction achievements.
- Experience in promoting and engaging diverse suppliers.
