About the Role
The Key Holder is a key employee responsible for maintaining good customer service, accurately recording sales, and assisting with merchandising. This role supports profitable business operations through floor supervision and opening/closing responsibilities, reporting to the Store Manager.
Responsibilities
- Serve customers and accurately record all sales.
- Assist with merchandising responsibilities, including stocking, pricing, and maintaining store neatness.
- Support the operation of a profitable business through successful floor supervision.
- Perform opening and closing shop responsibilities.
- Clientele and understand customer needs.
- Drive business by reacting to customer needs and wants.
- Act in the best interest of the customer.
- Suggestively sell based on product knowledge.
- Think creatively in business and seek sales opportunities.
- Effectively communicate with store manager.
- Provide constructive feedback to shop management.
- Respond well to feedback from management and follow directives.
- Identify problems and report them properly.
- Arrive on time and be floor ready.
- Participate in store meetings and management meetings.
- Assist in tagging new merchandise.
- Restock sold items.
- Maintain a professional phone presence when calling clients.
- Maintain a visually enticing store that is neat, clean, and organized.
- Respond promptly to emails from management while working.
- Take assigned lessons and quizzes.
- Receive and process transfer orders and RTVs.
- Open and close a store.
- Understand surrounding retail competition.
- Abide by Clare V. policies and procedures.
- Prioritize workload to maximize efficiency and minimize impact on customer experience.
- Seek creative solutions to challenges.
- Maintain a healthy work environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and sufficient work experience.
- 1+ years retail experience.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong eye for fashion.
- Ability to perform effective selling techniques to achieve sales and repeat business.
- Basic computer skills.
- Physical requirements: lift/carry/move 40 lbs. minimum including fixtures and product.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, weekends.
- Ability to open and close a store.
- Able to travel to other stores within the market/region.
