About the Role
Support Asset Managers in providing compliance, commercial, and financial management services for Pattern’s fleet of operating wind farms.
Responsibilities
- Review and ensure compliance with key commercial contracts for operating assets and development project agreements.
- Populate and manage the ongoing maintenance of the compliance database for operating assets.
- Provide business services for operating assets, interfacing with internal departments like insurance, tax, legal, accounts payable, finance, IT, and procurement.
- Support the regulatory compliance function, including assisting with filings to regulatory agencies and understanding regulatory implications.
- Research and understand ISO market rules impacting operational assets and disseminate findings.
- Provide financial planning and analytics for Asset Management/Operations, including monthly analysis of revenue, expenses, and other business impacts.
- Collaborate in the annual budget preparation process and participate in periodic budget reviews.
- Prepare summaries of fleet budgets and actual spending aligned with accounting records.
- Support Asset Management/Operations reporting activities, including Executive Management reviews and monthly project reports.
- Support the commercial transition from Development/Construction to Operations for new projects.
- Participate in Asset Management/Operations group start-up activities for new projects.
- Populate the compliance database for new project implementation.
- Assist Asset Managers in special projects.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in the commercial development or management of energy assets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong motivation and ability to work with little supervision or guidance.
- Strong learning skills and the ability to independently research, understand, and implement knowledge in new areas.
- Ability to work seamlessly across a wide range of disciplines both within and outside the group and the company.
- Ability to read, understand and implement legal contracts.
- Ability to understand technical operational matters and translate them to commercial and financial analyses and decision making.
- Understanding of power market operations inside and outside of organized markets.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
